The city of Baltimore allots 10 take home vehicles outside of emergency responders and city council and the mileage, fuel make and model are all public record and the city appears to be doing better than most others.

Split between four departments — housing and community development, recreation and parks, transportation, and wastewater employees in public works — the 10 take-home vehicles are the only such vehicles beyond those driven by the Baltimore fire department, Baltimore police department and the Baltimore sheriff’s office, according to the department of general services, which provided the information through a Maryland public information act request.
Openthebooks.com requested the vehicle data for years 2020 through present, and while the city didn’t provide the names of the employees driving the vehicles as requested, it provided the department each vehicle is assigned to, the year, make and model of vehicle, the mileage driven, and gas consumed.
