For those who may not like fish, there will be alternative meat items available. Dinner will begin at 5:00pm with the assistance of the Newkirk Mason Lodge #88.

There is no admission charge to the dinner but donations to the fire department will be gladly accepted.

Bear Creek Rural Fire District consists of all volunteer firefighters and covers approximately 32,000 acres in rural Kay County. Funds raised at the fish fry will be used for repairs on fire trucks and for equipment needed for the fire department. The rough terrain throughout the fire departments territory takes a toll on the aging vehicles so the fund raiser is necessary to help pay for the up keep and repair expenses.

For additional information or directions to the fire station, call 580-269-1339. FLU SHOTS TO BE OFFERED Kaw City Senior Center wanted announced that they are giving flu shots on Oct. 13.
