Sept. 19

Raymond J. Glaze, 53, Columbus Grove, was sentenced to 180 days in jail for passing bad checks. The judge suspended 170 days of the sentence and granted him work release upon conditions established by the sheriff’s department.

Dustin C. Morman, 45, Leipsic, was remanded to the WORTH Center for two counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs. He was placed on five years community control and must complete all counseling and treatment recommended and have no contact with the victim. Another drug charge was dismissed.

Sept. 20

Abel E. Alafa, 49, Leipsic, admitted to violating community control sanctions. The violations included using marijuana, failing to complete weekly passpoint testing, changing residences without permission, failing to report to his supervisor as required, using alcohol, failing to attend counseling at Pathways Counseling and failing to make any payments toward his court financial obligations. Sentencing on the matter was scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Oct. 20.

Pam S. Sherman, Leipsic, was granted a divorce from Bryan E. Sherman, Ottawa. They were married Jan. 11, 2000 in Ottawa and have no children.

Putnam County Municipal Court dispositions

Sept. 19

Derrick S. Bonsu, 19, Pickerington, pleaded guilty to failure to comply, a misdemeanor. Sentence: 180 days jail, 177 days suspended, $250 fine, six-month license suspension, placed on two years probation and must perform 250 hours of community service. The felony charge was dismissed.

Sept. 22

Curtis M. Horstman, 34, Fort Jennings, pleaded guilty to obstructing official business. Sentence: 10 days jail, suspended, $500 fine. He was fined $50 for speeding. Charges of falsification, expired plates and unauthorized tampering were dismissed.

Sean I. McBride, 32, Continental, pleaded guilty to two counts of an amended charge of criminal mischief. Sentence: 60 days jail, 57 days suspended, credit for three days served, and must perform 40 hours of community service. Two counts of assault were dismissed.

Adam Alvarado, Jr., 44, Gilboa, pleaded guilty to open burning in a restricted area. Sentence: $150 fine.
