Inside Man spoilers follow.
Inside Man star Dolly Wells has revealed she got "goosebumps" while filming one of the show's most notable scenes.
Wells plays Janice in the thrilling BBC drama that began this week and received a mixed reaction from viewers.
In the first episode, viewers saw Janice coming to the aid of Lydia West's character, Beth.
The scene saw Beth being harassed on the London Underground by a strange man.
The stranger then went on to start harassing another woman, who proceeded to take his photo.
Numerous women on the tube who had witnessed the incident, including Janice, then began to get their phones out and record the incident.
In an interview with Radio Times, Wells opened up about what filming the scene was like and revealed that it gave her chills.
She said: "This is not a scene that I read often and know that I'm going to be playing, so I knew it was really important.
"And also, when we actually shot it, it was really exciting. I was getting goosebumps when everyone was saying 'me too' and 'I’ve got it, I’ve got it'."
Inside Man was created by ex-Doctor Who boss Steven Moffat. He spoke to Radio Times about Wells' character and explained the catalyst behind her behaviour following a key scene that saw David Tennant's character Harry lock her in his cellar.
Moffat insisted that he didn't want Janice's character to come across as a "cliché" and so made sure not to make her appear to be "virtuous" on-screen.
He explained: "I think something that we all do as writers – I've done it many times – is you somehow equate virtue with victimhood. There's nothing about being a victim that makes you virtuous. In fact, arguably the opposite. If you're being victimised, you're probably going to get worse, not better."
Inside Man episode 3 will air Monday night (October 3) at 9pm on BBC One, with the remaining episode of the miniseries being shown next Tuesday (October 4).
