STOUGHTON, Wis. (WMTV) -The haunted season is creeping back into the Madison area, which means ghosts, goblins, haunted trails and yes, haunted houses.

Ready to get scared? Ready or not, the team at Screamin’ Acres in Stoughton is ready to begin delivering frights at opening night, Saturday.

“Come give us a shot, there’s always something for everybody here,” laughed Kyle Kosiboski, Screamin’ Acres director of operations. “Not everything’s all guts and gore we do have clowns...things that people don’t like but we love it.”

Covering 22,000 square feet, horror-lovers will make their way through four attractions this year, and if you dare, people can also navigate the additional 3-acre cornfield.

This year’s main attraction? LOCKUP...which is under “no management.” “I would say ‘Lockup’ is probably the best, I’m super excited to see it come to life tomorrow night,” Kosiboski said.

To hear the stories behind each scene, see here.

Visitors should anticipate around 50 minutes of terror provided by a team made up of roughly 85 monsters each night.

“Everybody comes from a different walk of life, but we all come here for one goal and that’s to scare everybody that comes through these doors and we do an awesome job at it,” Kosiboski exclaimed.
