UPDATE: “3-alarm fire”: Fire at Table Rock Lake destroys house

UPDATE 3:30 P.M.: The Southern Stone County Fire Protection District said the fire started just after 8 p.m. on Thursday on Pemberly Lane just off Stormy Point Road.

The three-story, 15,000-square-foot house was home to Capitol Vacations, LLC, and held maintenance supplies for Stormy Point Resort.

Employees were able to get out of the building and fire crews took a defensive approach because of the cleaning products inside.

48 firefighters, 26 fire trucks and 200,000 gallons of water were used to fight the fire.

Because there was so much damage to the building, investigators said they could not figure out how the fire started. The entire structure and everything in it were determined a “complete loss.”

No one was hurt.

UPDATE 1 P.M.: Southern Stone County Fire District Fire Marshall Dylan Honea said that it took multiple fire crews from Branson and surrounding counties hours to put out the flames.

“It was a three-alarm fire,” Honea said.

Firefighters were battling the flames on Stormy Point Road in Branson from 8:14 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, to around 4:15 a.m. this morning, Sept. 30. The fire destroyed a residence that was being used as an office space. It was the only structure damaged.

The cause of the fire is still undetermined.
