GAYLORD — On Tuesday, the Otsego County Board of Commissioners approved the 2023 budget for the Otsego County Commission on Aging.

Commissioners signed off on a $2.2 million spending plan for the county commission on aging (OCCOA). Salaries take up a majority of the budget at $1.3 million. The budget also includes $179,000 for a lease agreement with Otsego Signet LLC on a building located at 1165 Elkview Dr. in Gaylord that houses the OCCOA.

The county board also approved the job description for a director of human resources. Previously the position was a combination of human resources director and assistant county administrator. That person has left and now the job will focus entirely on human resources.
