LIFELINE Blood Services Announces 4th Annual Car Giveaway Winner

JACKSON, TN: — LIFELINE Blood Services and Joe Mahan Ford’s partnership over the summer
helped save lives! During a time when blood collections are low, we were able to keep our blood
donations going strong and continued to meet the need of the 20 West Tennessee counties we
serve.
From over 600 donations from Memorial Day to Labor Day, we drew a lucky winner! Judy Elford, a
Beech Bluff resident, recently left the parking lot at Joe Mahan Ford in her 2019 Ford EcoSport with a
huge smile on her face.
Judy Elford has been a LIFELINE blood donor since 2007. She became a plasma donor in 2014 and
has recently reached her 12 gallon milestone and is focused on her next donation milestone. Judy
shared, “You can catch me wearing my LIFELINE donor t-shirts often because I am happy to be a
donor! I enjoy donating because I know it saves lives. I feel good about helping out my community
and making a difference!”
“We are grateful for all of the donors who took the time to donate between Memorial Day and Labor
Day and are so thankful for the partnership with Joe Mahan Ford as they sponsored our 4 th Annual
Car Giveaway. We encourage everyone to keep LIFELINE on their calendar and to donate every 8
weeks or as often as you are able!” shares Melinda Reid, Marketing Manager at LIFELINE Blood
Services.
“We know that donating blood with LIFELINE impacts our communities and saves lives. You could be
saving the life of a family member, a neighbor, or someone in your community, so we are pleased to
partner with LIFELINE and enjoy making that impact in West TN,” said Jeff Mahan with Joe Mahan
Ford.
LIFELINE provides blood services to 20 West Tennessee counties, 17 area hospitals, and 13
emergency helicopter service locations. Annually, the Center collects approximately 26,000 blood
products (red cell units, platelets, plasma, etc.) to meet the needs of patients. Of that total, 75% of
those products are collected on the bloodmobiles across West Tennessee. LIFELINE also provides

reference lab and cross-matching services to healthcare facilities. For more information, visit our
