Three Nonprofits Win Impact100 Traverse City Grants

Three nonprofit organizations have each received $112,000 in grants from Impact100 Traverse City. The three recipients, Friends of the Garden Theatre, Single MOMM, and North Country Trail Association, were chosen from five finalists that also included Traverse City Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol, United States Air Force Auxiliary, and Traverse City Curling Club, Inc.

The winners were selected by a vote of the 336 women who each donated at least $1,000.

The Garden Theatre in downtown Frankfurt will use its grant to fund new lighting, rigging, video, and sound systems for the theater as well as improvements to the building’s accessibility.

The North Country Trail Association will use its funds to build a non-motorized, ADA accessible trailhead and boardwalk along the Boardman River in Downtown Kalkaska.

Single MOMM will use its grant to create a mobile office that will bring mentorship, classes, events, and financial assistance to families in Benzie and Leelanau counties.

The all-volunteer women’s organization grants 100 percent of membership money raised in $100,000 increments. For more information, click here.
