NEAR BRANSON, Mo. (KY3) - Firefighters battled a large fire along Table Rock Lake on Thursday night.

The fire happened on Stormy Point Road near Indian Point in eastern Stone County.

Brianna and Tracy Whitaker shared the video with KY3.

Smoke can still be seen coming from the home damaged in Thursday night’s fire on Friday morning. Firefighters say it was a long night battling the blaze.

“I couldn’t believe how long the fire was raging, and it was so large,” said Branson resident Dean Samet.

Dean Samet lives at Royal Vista Condos just up the hill from Stormy Point Village. He says his neighbor called him around 9 p.m. to tell him something was on fire not far from him.

”I went back and had a look and went, oh my God,” said Samet.

Samet says he couldn’t believe what he saw. He sat and watched the fire with his binoculars. As time passed, he saw multiple crews arrive to put out the fire.

”I’ve lived here for about 15 years now, but this was the most flames that I’ve ever seen in this area here,” said Samet.

Southern Stone County Fire Marshal Dylan Honea says first responders responded to the fire at around 8:15 Thursday night. They didn’t clear the scene until about 4:15 Friday morning. When crews arrived, they could see fire coming through the roof. Honea says at that point, the fire pretty well engulfed the house.

”It was a big fire. It was a three-story residence that had been converted into a laundry facility,” said Honea. “It had some offices, maintenance, stuff like that.”

Honea says five different agencies showed up to help.

”Besides Southern Stone, we had Branson Fire, Western Taney County Fire, Northern Stone, Northeast Barry, and Highlandville Fire.”

Crews still don’t know the cause of the fire, and no one was injured. Honea says it is likely the home is a total loss.
