The fall season of high school sports is upon us. Who better to know what kind of talent Greater Cincinnati offers than the players themselves?

The Cincinnati Enquirer sought opinions from players across multiple conferences on opponents who have been impressive on the field this season. This week, area football players gave their input.

Check Cincinnati.com each week to see which area athletes get a shoutout from opponents.

Taft junior Elias Rudolph (9) has seven sacks on the year for the Senators.

Elias Rudolph, Taft

"I want to acknowledge a great football player, Elias Rudolph from Taft. He has a chip on his shoulder and he's always ready to get it. He's a great leader, a great teammate and always wants the best for his team. Just playing him, he's just a great athlete and always all over the field hitting you. When you get hit (by him), you're gonna feel it. He's gonna make his name. He's a respectful person - before the game, after the game I took a picture with him. He's a great person, great for the community and a person you wanna be around."

-C.J. Hester, Wyoming

Many opponents have felt the hits supplied by Rudolph, who is one of the top recruits in Ohio and top edge rushers in the nation with a slew of Division I offers. Last season, Rudolph had over 100 tackles and 12 sacks en route to first-team All-Ohio honors.

This season, Rudolph is tied for second in the Cincinnati Metro Athletic Conference with seven sacks and 26 total tackles.

Greg Miller, St. Bernard

"I would like to shout out Greg Miller III (St. Bernard). He is a tough running back to take down. He goes 100% the full game and with that maintains an amazing attitude. Even when times were rough, he would pick up his players when they were down and still went his hardest during the toughest times. Would love to play with him one day!"

- Bryce Lillie, Williamsburg

Miller has already set a career-high in rushing yards this season, helping lead St. Bernard to a 3-3 record. Miller leads the Miami Valley Conference in rushing yards (740) and touchdowns (eight). The 6-foot senior ran for a career-high 201 yards and two touchdowns against Williamsburg in Week 2.

Lloyd senior Kaiden Zulager (5). Lloyd Memorial High School football practice, Sept. 22, 2022. Erlanger, Ky.

Kaiden Zulager, Lloyd Memorial

"One player I really respect is Kaiden Zulager, the running back for Lloyd Memorial. He is one of the hardest hitters in Northern Kentucky and his motor is always going. I have a lot of respect for him."

-Shaun Roberts, Boone County

Zulager came on the scene last season as a junior, eclipsing the 1,000-yard mark in rushing yards with double-digit rushing touchdowns (11) to go with 25 tackles on defense. This season, Lloyd has already matched its win total from 2021 after starting 3-2. Zulager is averaging nearly 120 rushing yards per game to go with eight touchdowns on the ground. He also has three catches for 78 yards and a score.

Moeller linebacker Joe Ginnetti leads the Crusaders in tackles (42) this season.

Joe Ginnetti, Moeller

"The best player I have played against so far this year would have to be Moeller LB Joseph Ginnetti. He was quick and hit with a lot of power."

-Josh Ringer, East Central

Ginnetti committed to Air Force in July after a stellar junior season where he was named honorable mention All-Ohio and second-team all-district after leading the Greater Catholic League-South with 108 total tackles. This season, Ginnetti has starred at linebacker for the Moeller, which is No. 1 in the state in Division I. Ginnetti leads the Crusaders with 42 tackles, which ranks tied for third in the conference. The senior also has a sack and a forced fumble. He had nine tackles, including two for a loss, in Moeller's win over East Central earlier this month.
