Pauls Valley police say they caught alleged burglars at the local Tractor Supply Company early Wednesday morning.
Police say these guys seemed to know what they were doing.
Reports say they found tools investigators often see used for burglary in the get away car.
Pauls Valley police responded to an alarm call at Tractor Supply Company early Wednesday morning.
They say James Leatherwood was waiting for Steven Shepard in the parking lot.
"I am assuming he told Leatherwood the alarm was going off and he went to pick him up and we caught them in the act," Pauls Valley police chief Mitch McGill said.
Investigators say they spotted Shepard hiding in a fenced in area of the business.
Reports say the two men admitted to trying to steal a riding lawn mower.
"Mr. Leatherwood stated that he was trying to get some money for a lawyer for some burglary charges out of Carter County," McGill said.
"We searched the vehicle and found some more drugs and burglary tools and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle, as well," McGill said.
Police say Leatherwood also told them he dropped off two women at Walmart while Shepard broke in.
Officers say they saw them walking down the street and took them into custody too.
"We believe this situation is not the first time," McGill said. "I am sure we are going find out they were involved in some other crimes."
Leatherwood and Shepard were booked in jail for conspiracy and burglary.
Police say Marzetta Couch was arrested for stealing paint from Walmart.
