FAIRVIEW PARK, Ohio
Drugs: Lorain Road
At 2:45 a.m. Sept. 22, an officer saw a driver traveling at a high rate of speed near West 202nd Street. A traffic stop was initiated, but the driver failed to stop.
A brief pursuit ensued before the car came to a stop west of Columbia Road in North Olmsted. The driver of the car ran off, but was quickly apprehended.
The 21-year-old Cleveland man admitted to using narcotics. He was taken to Fairview Hospital by ambulance for medical evaluation. Charges are pending the results of a drug screening panel.
Theft: West 217th Street
At 7:16 a.m. Sept. 21, several unlocked cars were reported entered overnight. Investigators were able to discover evidence and a person of interest has been identified. The investigation is ongoing.
Drunk driving: West 220th Street
At 3:54 a.m. Sept. 23, an officer on patrol discovered a car stopped at a green light while facing south in the northbound lane at Lorain Road. It was determined that the driver had passed out behind the wheel with the car in gear.
Officers were able to wake the driver, who showed signs of alcohol intoxication. The 29-year-old Willoughby Hills man was unable to perform field sobriety tests and was arrested.

At 10:50 a.m. Sept. 24, a GetGo employee reported a man sleeping behind the business. When officers arrived, they found the man and were able to wake him.
Drug paraphernalia was found near the man’s belongings and he admitted to possessing narcotics. The 41-year-old Fairview Park man was arrested.
