VANCOUVER Wash. (KPTV) – The Vancouver Police Department is searching for a suspect who fired a gun into a McDonald’s.

According to police, the white-colored sedan pulled up to the McDonald’s at 2814 NE Andresen Road just after 2:20 a.m. Thursday. After attempting to order food through the window and being denied, the suspect pulled out a gun, firing a shot through the drive-thru window.

“It’s wild,” Lakota Tow said.

Tow was at McDonald’s Thursday afternoon and said he was shocked but not completely surprised to hear about a shooting at this location.

“It doesn’t surprise me though with this neighborhood now. It’s kind of gone downhill since even I’ve moved here,” he said.

Luckily, officials said no one was hurt.

“I’m glad nobody got hurt. It’s scary though. That somebody got that irate to shoot through a drive through,” Tow said.

FOX 12 Oregon got a statement from the owner and operator, Val Hadwin, who said, “The safety of our crew and customers is my top priority. We are relieved no one was injured during this disturbing incident, and we are supporting the local police department with their investigation.”

Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect is asked to contact the Vancouver Police Department Major Crimes Unit at (360) 487-7440.
