MONTREAL -- The Canadiens' preseason schedule continues with a matchup against the Jets at the Bell Centre.

TICKETS: Jets @ Canadiens
Here are five things you need to know heading into the game:
1. Head coach Martin St-Louis' troops were dealt a 3-0 loss by the Maple Leafs on Wednesday night at Scotiabank Arena. Nick Robertson, Denis Malgin and Nick Abruzzese scored for Toronto. Malgin and Abruzzese's markers came on the power play. Sam Montembeault surrendered one goal on 15 shots, while Kevin Poulin gave up two goals on 14 shots. Matt Murray and Erik Källgren combined for a 27-save shutout to send the Maple Leafs' faithful home happy. The dynamic play of Filip Mesar was a major highlight for the Canadiens. The 18-year-old Slovak definitely made his presence felt in the contest. Countryman Juraj Slafkovsky had four shots on goal and two hits in 17:23 of ice time.

2. Tonight's game will mark the preseason debut for winger Brendan Gallagher, who hasn't dressed since the Red vs. White Intrasquad Scrimmage on Sunday. Gallagher, 30, is hungry to start fresh after being limited to just 24 points (7 goals, 17 assists) in 56 games last year. The Canadiens' alternate captain enjoyed a full summer back home in British Columbia preparing his body for the rigors of his 11th NHL season, so hopefully he can gain some momentum through the exhibition calendar and carry that into the start of the campaign come mid-October.

3.The Jets (1-1-0) are coming off their first victory of the preseason on Tuesday night at Canada Life Centre - a 5-3 triumph over the Ottawa Senators. Prospect Daniel Torgersson led the way offensively for Winnipeg with a pair of goals, while Connor Hellebuyck made 23 saves. Kyle Connor had a goal and two assists, and Michael Eyssimont and Ville Heinola also lit the lamp for the home side as well.
Torgersson gets another audition against Montreal, while veterans Sam Gagner and Nate Schmidt will play their first games of the preseason tonight. Pierre-Luc Dubois will also be in uniform, along with 2022 first-round selection Brad Lambert. David Rittich and Arvid Holm are the goaltenders for head coach Rick Bowness' squad.

4. Players on both teams will be wearing special orange decals on their helmets during the game to mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, which is Friday. The day honors the children who never returned home and survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. The decals feature the respective team logos surrounded by an orange halo.
5. Starting at 5:00 p.m. ET, watch a LIVE press conference featuring members of the team's hockey development staff on
