Many in Pittsburgh and across the nation are clamoring for Kenny Pickett to make his Steelers debut in place of Mitch Trubisky, but according to one source, Trubisky isn’t doing so bad so far.
Steve Palazzolo tells The PM Team that Trubisky ranks in the middle of QBs. Now, that’s only through three weeks.
Palazzolo says while he hates it, he reluctantly told Andrew Fillipponi that Trubisky is grading better than Joe Burrow, Justin Herbert and Russell Wilson
“I think a lot of his best throws have fallen incomplete,” said Palazzolo. “It’s just weird, he’s missing a lot of throws still, but he hasn’t put a lot in harm’s way.”
He only has one interception with two “turnover worthy plays.”
“He’s taking care of the ball but he’s missing a high percentage as well,” added Palazzolo.
He did couch the grading so far since it’s early in the season.
It’s like the guy hitting .400 after two weeks of the season and you think he’s a .400 hitter? No, he’s just hitting .400 right now,” said Palazzolo.
Palazzolo also talked about the running backs and said that Najee Harris is grading higher than Jaylen Warren so far, but that it’s close.
IF it wasn’t for Warren’s fumble, he’d likely be graded higher.
