Besides NBA players, of course. More accurately, they used to – until they started living their dreams.

Meanwhile, you pictured yourself, alone in the park, in front of a sold-out stadium. In all likelihood, you pictured big, bright, flashing lights. Whether you knew it or not, you were fantasizing about being a star in one of the league’s biggest markets. 

If big markets are so desirable, one would assume that they have an easier time building contending teams. Sometimes, that is the case. For example, the Los Angeles Clippers look as good as any team in the league heading into 2022-23.
