Gossett Jr. was born in 1936 in Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York. After obtaining a sports injury at age 17, he was encouraged to participate in a school play. A 46-year-old woman has been taken into custody under suspicion of kidnapping and fatally shooting a 35-year-old car salesman in February. Rosie Chavez, according to Chicago Police, is alleged to have fatally shot Crisoforo Osorio-Gonzalez on February 10 in the 3600 block of West 26th Street. Osorio-Gonzalez was found dead on February 13 in a Little Village alley.
