CINCINNATI (WKRC) - A man already charged with stabbing another man 30 times is now charged with kidnapping and raping a woman that same night.
Prosecutor Joe Deters now says later that night, Carter approached a woman who was walking to her boyfriend's house on Schiller Street in Mt. Auburn. He allegedly pulled out a gun, threatened to kill her and ordered her into a wooded area where he raped her.
The victim then agreed to take Carter back to her apartment, thinking she might get to safety, according to Deters. Carter is accused of raping her a second time there and then leaving.
Carter was arrested for Dockery's murder on August 16 but it wasn't until DNA test results came back recently that he was identified as a suspect in the rape and kidnapping.
Carter also faces tampering with evidence and gun charges. He allegedly tried to get rid of a cell phone.
“Both of these crimes, on their own, are some of the most heinous facts I have seen. To stab another human that many times is vicious. But to then go on in the same night and violently rape and kidnap a woman is inexplicable," said Deters in a news release. "There is no other way to describe it than evil."
