WLKY NEWS AT SIX MUSIC FANS ARE PACKING THE FAIRGROUNDS FOR A SECOND STRAIGHT WEEK. LOUDER. LIFE KICKED OFF TODAY. OUR ADDIE MEINERS IS LIVE THERE AND TELLS US THINGS ARE DEFINITE IT’LL BE LOUD. AND BUFFET OFFICIALS ARE SAYING THEY’RE EXPECTING OVER 160,000 PEOPLE TO ATTEND THE CONCERTS OVER THE WEEKEND. NOW, GATES OPENED UP TODAY AT NOON. AND IF YOU SAW CHOPPER HD FOOTAGE FROM EARLIER, PEOPLE WERE LITERALLY RUNNING TO A FRONT ROW SPOT. THE FESTIVAL INCLUDES ROCK AND HEAVY METAL ACTS LIKE SLIPKNOT COOPER YOUNGBLOOD, WHO WAS PLAYING TODAY, AND OF COURSE, THE RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS. BUT IF MUSIC DOESN’T GET YOU OUT HERE, THE FOOD IN THE WHISKEY WILL LOUDER THAN LIFE. AS THE WORLD’S LARGEST WHISKEY AND MUSIC FESTIVAL IN, THE WORLD. THERE’S PLENTY OF BOTH WITH TONS OF VENDORS FROM ALL AROUND THE CITY. AND THERE’S ALSO A TONS OF GREAT ACTS THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND. BUT A LOT OF PEOPLE TOLD ME THAT THEY’RE EXCITED TO SEE ACTOR JACK BLACK’S BAND TENACIOUS D, WHO PLAYS TONIGHT NOT CELLO. CHILI PEPPERS, OBVIOUSLY A HUGE FAN OF THEM. I SAID I WANT TO SEE ALICE IN CHAINS APOCALYPTIC. THERE’S SO MANY, SO MANY. SO IT’S A GOOD FESTIVAL. THERE’S A LOT OF WHAT YOU WANT TO SEE. YEAH. IF YOU HAVEN’T BEEN BEFORE, DEFINITELY COME OUT. IT’S WORTH THE MONEY. WORTH THE TIME. IT’S A GREAT TIME TIME. DEFINITELY WORTH THE MONEY AND WORTH THE TIME. NOW TONIGHT’S HEADLINER IS NINE INCH NAILS. THEY WILL PLAY AROUND 9:00 TOMORROW NIGHT. If you thought there were a lot of people at the 2022 Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, you were right.Festival organizers said they broke the attendance record this year with 170,000 fans at the fairgrounds over four days. They said that officially makes them the country's biggest rock festival.There were some big names on the stacked bill this year, including Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nine Inch Nails, Slipknot, Kiss and many more.And with the big festival just days from being over, organizers have already secured dates for next year: Sept. 21-24. Tickets are already on sale for general admission, VIP and camping. Click here.Bourbon and Beyond, the music festival that typically is the weekend before LTL, will follow suit again next year, taking place Sept. 14-18.
