Jackie Paige moves to mornings on WWJ

(WWJ) WWJ Newsradio 950 Detroit has announced a new weekday programming lineup, beginning October 3.

Longtime WWJ anchor Jackie Paige will move to mornings, joining Jonathan Carlson from 7 a.m. - 10 a.m. Eastern Time.

Paige will also host middays from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. followed by Brooke Allen from 12 pm. - 2 p.m.

Tony Ortiz will take over at 2 p.m. and be joined by Allen from 3 - 6 p.m., then continuing solo from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Erin Vermeulen will remain the evening news anchor from 7 p.m.- 12 a.m.

"We are excited to announce our new lineup, which is full of news anchors who are seasoned and well known in the community," said Audacy Detroit Senior VP and Market Manager Debbie Kenyon. "This new slate will allow WWJ to continue its mission of keeping listeners informed of breaking news and the top stories of the day."

In a tweet on Thursday, Paige said she's excited about the move to the AM, adding: "I am so humbled and grateful for this opportunity. Gonna miss ⁦my PM Drive buddies a lot!"
