Bowling Green man arrested on DUI charge

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – One man in Bowling Green was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Yesterday, the Bowling Green Police Department responded to EZ Liquor for an intoxicated driver. Officials stated they received a report of a man in a hospital gown driving a black Cadillac CTS who drove through the drive through, almost hit the building and attempted to make a purchase.

The business refused to make a sale to the man.

A citation stated an officer observed the driver, Roy Field, to have slurred speech and other possible signs of intoxication. Field was taken into police custody.

Officials located a bottle of 16 prescription pills of 10-milligram Zolpidem Tartrate during a vehicle search. BGPD also found Field’s driver status was suspended.

Following a blood test at The Medical Center, Field was arrested and taken to the Warren County Detention Center. Field faces charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol (.08) – first offense, operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license and no registration plates.
