Police in Philadelphia have made an arrest of a man they believe and is accused to be involved with the thefts.

Police in Ross Township and Bethel Park say they worked together to identify 34-year-old Curtis Wallace as the suspect.

Wallace was arrested last week in Philadelphia and taken to the Allegheny County Jail.

Wallace is facing multiple charges, including Theft by Unlawful Taking and Receiving Stolen Property.

Pittsburgh Police have warned about the recent increase of catalytic converter thefts in the area.

People are targeting the metals in them, which can be resold at a high price.
