Christ Church holds ‘Blessing of the Animals’

Join Christ Church Greenwich as they honor St. Francis, the Patron Saint of Animals and the Environment, with a special program on Sunday, Oct. 2.

Jungle Jerry and his Exotic Animals
11:00 am – 12:00 pm
Christ Church Chapel, upstairs
Free Admission
Jungle Jerry will be with us once again to fascinate us with this annual “Touch of Nature” show for children of all ages. He will bring his suitcases full of exotic animals and one by one, he will show and tell, surprising and teaching children about each one, including birds, lizards, alligators, a tarantula, a hedgehog, a bunny, and snakes including his eight foot python!
The children will be seated on the floor in front of him and will be allowed to touch and pet some of the animals while Jerry holds them (these are quite harmless and perfectly safe under controlled supervision.)

The Blessing of YOUR Animals
4:00 – 4:30 pm
Complimentary Blessings and a dog tag, “I’ve Been Blessed”
In the Circle in front of Christ Church Greenwich
All are welcome, from puppies to guppies.
Bring your two legged, four legged, and slithery pets to be blessed by our clergy in commemoration of the life of St. Francis of Assisi, the Patron Saint of Animals and the Environment. All creatures great and small are welcome.
