A new veterinary care center is set to open in Northampton, which will provide important care to pets in Western Mass. who require extra attention.
Integrity Veterinary Care, located on Pleasant Street in Northampton will be opening next month, Western Mass News reported. Construction is still underway but new patients are expected to be welcomed by Oct. 10.
The vet care center is especially important to pet owners who need specialty care for their companions, the outlet said. If owners have a pet that has an unusual medical problem or a problem involving specialty care, Integrity Veterinary Care can provide help, owner and medical director Martha MaloneyHuss told Western Mass News.
The outlet spoke to Erika Mueller who is the emergency critical care specialist. She spoke about ultrasounds for animals.
“The availability of the ultrasound is fairly limited…. My goal is to get them in same day or next day, so we can move forward with what’s going on,” Mueller said.
The hospital will be opening in two phases, Western Mass News reported.
The first part of the building opening will offer medical oncology, urgent care, outpatient ultrasound, and internal medicine services.
The spring time will come with the second phase opening complete with operating rooms, an ICU and other expanded areas.
