According to Nanticoke Police Chief Mark Boncal, the fire broke out around 2:30 AM at the Glen Lyon Brothers Kielbasa butcher shop on East Union Street.
Boncal says a State Police Fire Marshall believes the fire originated from a smoker used to smoke kielbasa on a regular basis.
Another business in the same building, Hc + Max Salon Studio, was also damaged in the blaze.
Boncal tells us that a residential home and an unoccupied garage behind the business building were also impacted by the flames.
Everyone managed to get out of the structures safely.
