The Detroit Pistons entered training camp with a full roster that looks a lot more balanced than last season.

They have shored up their two biggest weaknesses by adding veteran shooters and two legit bigs and hope to surprise some people by competing for the play-in tournament.

Someone forgot to tell the sports books, who still have the Pistons’ over/under set at 28.5 games, a bet that looks a lot tastier after the addition of Bojan Bogdanovic.

But let’s face it, there is a good chance they are right, and that the Pistons will be out of contention by the trade deadline, and if that happens, there will undoubtedly be some moves.

There are a number of players who are unlikely to finish the season in Detroit, starting with the guy who will likely be waived, cut or traded this week.

Of course, there is always the chance there is a fire sale.

The most obvious choice is Kemba Walker, who is not with the team in training camp and is likely to be released or traded very soon.

The Pistons have until October 17th to waive or trade Walker, and seem content to wait that out to see if they can find a home for him.

Either way, he’s not going to play a minute for Detroit this season, so now the only question is whether Troy Weaver will be able to get some team to give up something for him.

Keep an eye on the Atlanta Hawks, who need depth at point guard, and the Chicago Bulls, who may want to add a veteran after it was revealed that Lonzo Ball will be out longer than expected.
