There’s a feud going on between Kyle Schwarber and David Ross.
Not really. But they are booing each other.
The Philadelphia Phillies are in Chicago to face the Cubs, Schwarber’s former team. He’s familiar with their manager, Ross, who was teammates with Schwarber during his time in Chicago as a player – which included the 2016 campaign.
During Tuesday’s game, Ross sent some boos from the dugout Schwarber's way as he stepped up to the plate. Whether Schwarber heard it or saw it later online isn’t entirely clear, but the Phillies slugger made sure to return the favor during Wednesday’s game.
Credit to Schwarber for being able to maintain a sense of humor as the Phillies try to keep hold of their grip on the final wild card spot with the Brewers close behind.
The Cubs and Phillies will wrap up their series Thursday, at which point we’ll see if either Schwarber or Ross tries to get the last laugh.
