YORK COUNTY, Va. - State Police shut down a road after a fatal crash occurred Wednesday evening, September 28, 2022.
According to State Police, Oriana Road was shut down after a pickup truck ran off the roadway and struck a utility pole around 6:30 p.m.
Kyong Sik Kim, driver of a 2018 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck was travelling eastbound when he lost control of the truck and crashed.
As a result of the crash, 26-year-old Isaiah Michael Kim, passenger and son to the driver, was transported to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Kyong Sik Kim was transported to the hospital with injuries. Authorities have charged him with driving under the influence and reckless driving.
