The International Economic Development Council (IEDC), the largest nonprofit professional association for professional economic developers in the world, has selected the recipients of its 2022 Excellence Awards. Having a membership of over 5,000, the competition is fierce. Ponca City Development Authority (PCDA) was the recipient organization for 4 gold awards and 2 silver awards for core programs, taking home the most awards of any organization at this ceremony in 2022.

PCDA’s Shared Equipment Program won a gold medal in the Business Retention and Expansion Initiatives category. The Business Plan Pitch off won a gold award in the Entrepreneurship category. Ponca Works won 2 gold awards in the Talent Development Retention category and the Partnerships in Education category. The Entrepreneur Roadmap and Video won a silver award in the Digital Media category. The ‘It’s Science’ marketing campaign won a silver award in the Paid Advertising Campaign category. All these programs are open and available to assist you as a company, or employee in Ponca City and can be seen in more detail at www.GoPonca.com.

“This is not a staff win, it’s not even a PCDA win, it’s a Ponca City win,” said Executive Director of PCDA’s David Myers. “We are proud of what Ponca City can accomplish with all of our partners working together, and now the world knows some of the reasons we are so proud.”

Awards are judged by a diverse panel of economic and community developers from around the world. IEDC received over 500 submissions from the United States and four additional countries around the world.
