The New Orleans Saints will participate in the first NFL regular-season game in the United Kingdom this year.

They will be facing the Minnesota Vikings on October 2 at Northumberland Development Project, which houses Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Saints have been disappointing early in the season, with only one victory out of three games.

New Orleans could have been 0-3 if not for their 17-3 fourth-quarter run in their season opener against the Atlanta Falcons.

That’s a stunning outcome, considering they have Alvin Kamara, Michael Thomas, Chris Olave, and Jarvis Landry on offense.

The Saints also have a loaded defense with Cameron Jordan, Demario Davis, Marshon Lattimore, Marcus Maye, and Tyrann Mathieu.

Unfortunately, the Dennis Allen-coached crew might be in for more trouble after an update by NFL Network’s Stacey Dales.

Dales tweeted, “At #Saints open portion of practice today. No sign of Jameis Winston. No sign of Michael Thomas. Andy Dalton took first-team reps, Taysom Hill (who missed WK3 with a rib injury) took second-team reps at QB. Updates coming…”

Reserves Playing For The Saints In London?

Winston was questionable to play last week against the Carolina Panthers due to back and ankle injuries.

He suited up anyway and finished with 25 completions for 353 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions.

Still, he couldn’t lead the Saints to victory even if the Panthers only had 293 total yards as compared to their 426.

Missing practice isn’t a good indication of Winston’s odds of playing opposite the Vikings.

Meanwhile, Thomas finished with five receptions for 49 yards against Carolina.

While the wideout did not appear in the Saints’ injury reports for Weeks 2 and 3, he was listed as questionable in Week 1 due to a hamstring injury.

He could be experiencing that injury leading up to their date with Minnesota in London.
