Planetarium, Laser Show Schedule For September 30 – October 1

WAYNE – Fall planetarium and laser shows continue this weekend at the Fred G. Dale Planetarium.

According to a release from Wayne State College, shows continue every weekend featuring entertaining and informative full-dome shows like Astronaut, Oasis in Space and From Earth to the Universe.

Planetarium shows also include a discussion of the current night sky and hot astronomy topics like the Webb Space Telescope and the Artemis Project. The planetarium features many laser shows, including the lights and music of Classic Rock, Laser Country, Laser Beatles and Pink Floyd.

Friday’s planetarium show at 7 p.m. will be ‘From Earth to the Universe’ followed by ‘Laser 60s’ for the laser show at 8 p.m.

Moving into the first day of October on Saturday, the Planetarium show will start at 1 p.m. titled ‘The Lincoln Almanac Trial’ followed by ‘Laser Country’ at 2 p.m.

Make note to visit the Fred G. Dale Planetarium during the WSC Homecoming Weekend of October 7 – 8 for several planetarium and laser shows.

Fall planetarium and laser shows will last through Saturday, November 19.

All shows last about 45 minutes. The planetarium is located on the lowest level of the Carhart Science Building. Suggested donation for shows is $5 for adults and $3 for children.
