Man, 47, Found Stabbed Dead In Atlantic City Casino-Hotel Room; Philly Suspect Arrested

A 47-year-old man was found stabbed to death in an Atlantic City casino hotel room, authorities said.

On Friday, Sept. 23, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Atlantic City police responded to a hotel room within the Ocean Casino Resort for an unresponsive man. 

The man, later identified as Brian Wilkinson, of Egg Harbor Township, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. 

The Southern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office completed an autopsy of the victim and determined the cause of death as stab wounds and the manner of death was deemed a homicide.

The investigation has resulted in the arrest of Andrew James Osborne, 34, of Philadelphia, on murder and weapons charges, the prosecutor said.

Osborne was taken into custody in Philadelphia and was being held in Pennsylvania awaiting extradition. 

This continues to be an active and cooperative investigation between the ACPO Major Crimes Unit, the Atlantic City Police Department, and Philadelphia Police.
