Snoop Dogg’s Amazingly Wrong ‘Wheel of Fortune’ Guesses Delight Viewers: “Must-See TV”

Snoop Dogg gave a historically bad — and hilarious — performance on the season premiere of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune on Sunday (Sept. 25), sending his competitors into stitches onstage and cracking up viewers watching from home, too.

While facing off against Mark Duplass and Amanda Seales, Snoop delivered some truly terrible answers, most of which didn’t even make any sense, and left us wondering if he was suffering from stage fright or genuinely cracking jokes up there for Pat Sajak and crew.

It all kicked off with an especially egregious response in the very beginning of the show, when Snoop responded to the “What are you doing?” prompt with an unusual guess: “Baking onions.”

After Seales correctly guessed, “Baking brownies,” Duplass joked, “Martha is gonna be disappointed!” referring to Snoop’s friendship with Martha Stewart, lifestyle guru and renowned baker. He added, “Martha is gonna be upset.”

Martha may have been upset by the onions flop, but she should have stopped watching then and there if she didn’t want to witness more of Snoop’s replies, which only got more insane as the episode progressed.

When it came time to guess a two-word phrase with the letters T_L_N_ED A_T_S_, Snoop iconically guessed “toilet atlas.”

…Yeah, we don’t know what that is either, but we do know it was not the correct term.

Duplass swooped in with the right guess, “talented artist,” but Snoop’s heroic work of making Wheel of Fortune exciting wasn’t over just yet. He had even more absurd guesses stored away, and suggested “swallowing the not” instead of “sweetening the pot,” getting an uncomfortable chuckle out of Sajak, who quickly interjected, “No, that’s not right.”

After guessing “airport teacher” as an occupation and “underwater stunt” as an event, Snoop finally had his moment of glory after correctly identifying the phrase “Sun’s out, buns out.”

His entertaining turn on Wheel predictably captivated Twitter, where reactions ranged from delighted to flat-out horrified.

“Snoop gotta be the worst Wheel of Fortune player OF ALL TIME,” one viewer tweeted.

Another added, “After seeing Snoop Dogg on Wheel of Fortune I’ve decided every episode of the show needs one contestant who has no idea what words and phrases are.”

Wheel of Fortune is a pretty bad game show, but I would watch every episode if Snoop Dogg was all 3 contestants,” one viewer shared.

Another tweeted, “Seeing Snoop Dogg on Wheel of Fortune has been one of the most prolific moments of our time. The comedy, the drama, the tension… I now understand the phrase must see tv.”

Celebrity Wheel of Fortune airs Sundays at 8/7c on ABC. Tune in tomorrow, Sept. 29, for an all-new episode. Unfortunately, Snoop won’t be competing.
