PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police were called just before 9 a.m. Tuesday to the area of N. Columbus and E. Northcrest Avenues regarding an aggravated battery and robbery incident.
Peoria Public Information Officer Semone Roth said officers arrived, they were approached by a woman who told them she was physically attacked by five other females in a parking lot near her vehicle.
The suspects were identified as Latticia Carter, 22, Danyelle Collins, 20, and 18-year-olds Marquisha Friend, Miyana Garner and Chantazea Roebuck.
The victim told officers the suspects took several items from inside her vehicle and fled the scene.
The victim followed the suspects’ vehicle, eventually crashing into it on Adams and Woodlawn.
One of the suspects sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was taken to a hospital, and then later released into police custody.
All of the suspects were taken to the Peoria Police Department for questioning and subsequently arrested.
Latticia Carter was arrested for theft and mob action.
Danyelle Collins was arrested for aggravated battery, mob action and for an active warrant for her arrest.
Chantazea Roebuck was arrested for aggravated battery and mob action.
Miyana Garner was arrested for burglary to a motor vehicle, mob action and aggravated battery.
Marquisha Friend was arrested for aggravated battery and mob action.
All five subjects were taken to the Peoria County Jail.
