On Tuesday, The City of Oklahoma City held a City Council meeting, where several projects were approved for TIF, or affordable housing incentive support.
Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt called the meeting "one of the most exciting" that he could recall based on development projects for the core of the city.
The Citizen was one of three projects approved. The Citizen is a twelve-story tower that will be a $65M project constructed on the northeast corner of Robinson and NW 5th. The building will include office space, ground floor retail, and a new addition to the OKC skyline.
The Nova was another project approved in Tuesday's council meeting. This project is a redevelopment rather than a new build. The Nova stretches along NW 6th and NW 7th in Automobile Alley, and will bring apartments, urban farming, and an Urban Agrarian bar, eatery and bodega.
The last project that gained affordable housing incentive support was the Fairground Flats. The Fairground Flats is a new build that will have 216 apartment complexes with an affordable housing component. The projected will be $47M and will be constructed on Pershing, just east of the OKC Fairgrounds.
