This week marks one year since Kodiak's escape from National Aviary
He was the talk of the town this time last year.Kodiak, the Steller's sea eagle, escaped in 2021 from the National Aviary on Pittsburgh’s North Side.After a week away, he was found in Pine Township and brought back home.Since then, the National Aviary renovated his usual habitat to ensure Kodiak doesn't get out again.Anyone who visits the National Aviary can see Kodiak in his new habitat and other eagles.
