An apparent runaway pig has been seen in a number of Mobile neighborhoods, causing quite the commotion.

On Wednesday morning, he visited several people in the Ridgefield community. Residents tried their best to draw the pig closer, but the pig did not fall for it. Some people were even giving the pig apples and celery.

"If the beast wasn't so fast I'd give it a hug," George Bovenizer said. "Honestly, it looks cuddly. But, the thing can move!"

Later that morning, the pig made his way to another neighborhood next to Ridgefield off Airport Boulevard. The pig was basking in the sunlight and strolling through several people's yards.

"I think people are concerned about him because I think people have been seeing him down Hillcrest and other places, very strange," Mary Head said.

At one point, some people spotted the pig near Corpus Christi Catholic School and at the USA Freestanding Emergency Department on Hillcrest.

"The kids have been talking about it," Mimi Bovenizer said. "Apparently, the pig has been sited at Corpus Christi and there's a $1,000 reward sign that the kids put up for pigs."

NBC 15 also spotted a Pig Trapper truck in the Ridgefield neighborhood.
