Fall is officially here, but that doesn't mean the events have stopped. In fact, some of Newport County's biggest events take place this weekend, offering a range of fun.

Whether you want to get into the fall spirit, peruse automobiles you've only dreamt about or enjoy fantastic Italian food, the choice is yours. You can even take in a cornhole tournament while enjoying some beer.

Take a look at these events happening this weekend and one you may even consider leaving Newport County for.

Folk at the Farm

Looking to get out of Newport County this weekend? This event will take you away without much of a commitment.

Folk at the Farm is a free music concert hosted on Sunday, Oct. 2 by The Collaborative Frerichs Farm and Greenhouses, 43 Kinnicutt Ave., Warren, from 2 to 6 p.m.

Featuring four Rhode Island-based music groups, it'll be headlined by the Atwater-Donnelly Band. Joining this year will be Warren-based Americana Folk trio The Whelks, Caribbean Soul Duo with Becky Bass & Jhony Keys, and Magnolia.

Light fare will be available from Warren restaurants Hunky Dory and Bywater, as well as sweets from Black Dog Donuts. Beverages will be available from Proclamation Ale Company, Bristol’s Pivotal Brewing Co., and Warren’s beer hall and brewery, The Guild.

No seating will be provided so chairs and blankets are suggested for this is a rain or shine event. Learn more at thecollaborative02885.org/folkatthefarm.
