A homicide investigation is underway after a man's body was found Tuesday night in south Oklahoma City.
Around 9:30 p.m., police conducted a welfare check at a homeless camp near 27th Street and Santa Fe Avenue. When officers arrived, police said they found a person dead inside a tent with injuries consistent with homicide.
Police have not released the victim's name pending next-of-kin notification.
The investigation is in its early stages, and police have not made any arrests. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Oklahoma City Police Department's homicide tip-line at 405-297-1200.
