ALLEN PARK -- Amon-Ra St. Brown fell all the way to the Detroit Lions in the fourth round of last year’s draft. Assistant general manager Ray Agnew was one of those most responsible for having the breakout receiver on the team’s radar.
Agnew spoke with the Dungeon of Doom podcast about the process behind scouting and drafting St. Brown, not to mention the young receiver’s continued rise. He also touched on what the Lions look for in receivers and why they’re so happy they have St. Brown, among other topics. Hosts Kyle Meinke and Ben Raven also cover the team’s last-minute loss to the Minnesota Vikings, including the controversial decision to kick a field goal in the final moments. The Lions blew two different double-digit leads, including one in the fourth quarter, losing 28-24 to the Vikings in Week 3.

“I frickin’ regret my decision there at the end,” Lions head coach Dan Campbell said after the game. “Should have gone for it on fourth down. I told the team that. I should have gone for it.
“There was about three scenarios going on. I’m not going to say what one of them was, but I just -- it felt like, you know what, let’s kick a field goal. We go up by six and force them to score a touchdown for the win. They had no timeouts. Should have gone for it.”
