New lieutenant promoted at Findlay and Piqua posts of OSHP

COLUMBUS — A member of the Ohio State Highway Patrol who works in the Piqua Post has been promoted, according to a news release.

Sergeant Kristina Bennett has been promoted to the rank of lieutenant by Colonel Charles Jones.

She began her career with the OSHP in July 1995 as a cadet dispatcher at the Wapakoneta Post.

Lieutenant Bennett will remain at her current assignment at the Findlay and Piqua Districts Commercial Enforcement Section, the release said.

Bennett began training as a member of the 128th Academy Class in February 1997 and earned her commission that July.

She was assigned to Van Wert Post and then as a trooper served at the Wapakoneta Post, according to the release.

Bennett got promoted to sergeant and transferred to the Marysville Post as an assistant post commander.

She also served at the Wapakoneta Post and Piqua District Licensing and Commercial Standard Section.
