ABOUT WHERE THAT CASE STANDS TODAY. FOUR DECADES LATER STILL NO ANSWERS CHARLOTTE KINSEY AND CINDA PALLET VANISHED FROM THE STATE FAIR 41 YEARS AGO THIS WEEK. BOTH GIRLS WERE 13 YEARS OLD AT THE TIME THIS VIDEO FROM 1981 SHOWS CHARLOTTE’S SISTERS HANDING OUT PICTURES OF HER AT THE FAIR. WE ALL FEEL THAT SHE IS EITHER DRUGGED OR HYPNOTIZED. SEE POLICE SAY THE TWO GIRLS WERE APPROACHED BY A MAN WHO OFFERED TO PAY THEM TO HELP MOVE STUFF TEDDY BEARS AT THE FAIR THEY AGREED AND THAT’S WHERE THE CASE BEGINS DROVE WITH THEM TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION ON I-40 FROM THAT POINT THE TWO YOUNG FEMALES WERE NEVER SEEN OR HEARD FROM AGAIN THROUGH THE YEARS POLICE HAVE LOOKED AT SOME SUSPECTS ONE OF WHICH WAS ROYAL RUSSELL LONG OF EVANSVILLE, WYOMING FOR RELIEF FROM TUTTLE HERE IN OKLAHOMA. HE WAS ALREADY CONVICTED FOR ABDUCTING TWO GIRLS IN WYOMING BUT A JUDGE DISMISSED CHARGES AGAINST HIM AT 1985 AND HE LATER DIED IN PRISON IN 1993, OBVIOUSLY 40 YEARS. LATER, BUT STILL BEING WORKED. It has been 41 years that a cold case involving the Oklahoma State Fair has remained unsolved.In 1981, an active search was underway for two 13-year-old girls who were last seen at the fair on Sept. 26.Four decades later, there are still no answers. Charlotte Kinsey and Cinda Pallett vanished at the state fair. Both girls were 13 years old at the time."We all feel that she’s been drugged — hypnotized, something has been done to Charlotte," said Pearla Peterson, Charlotte Kinsey’s mother.Back in 1981, she told KOCO 5 that she knew something wasn’t right when her daughter went missing."Charlotte would call us or notify us or contact somebody if she were herself," Peterson said.Now, the investigation continues."It’s important to note that they left voluntarily from the state fair. They were not kidnapped from the state fair," said Dillon Quirk of the Oklahoma City Police Department.Police said the two girls were approached by a man who offered to pay them to help move stuffed teddy bears at the fair. They agreed and that’s where the case begins."He drove with them to another location on I-40, from that point, the two young females were never seen or heard from again," Quirk said.Through the years, police have looked at some suspects, one of which was Royal Russell Long from Evansville, Wyoming, formerly from Tuttle. He was already convicted for abducting two girls in Wyoming, but a judge dismissed the charges against him in 1985 and he later died in prison in 1993."Obviously, 40 years later, it’s still being worked. We’re asking anyone with information to contact our homicide tip line, or Crime Stoppers," Quirk said.The case is still unsolved and the two girls have never been found.
