Domestic violence: Chagrin Boulevard
At 6:35 p.m. Sept. 24, a Shaker Heights man called police to the entrance ramp on Chagrin Boulevard to Interstate 271 southbound. He stated that his sister, 37, of Shaker Heights, had hit him.
The man said his sister hit him in the back and head while the two were in a car together. The two were arguing after the man mentioned some of his sister’s shortcomings.
Police arrested the woman on a charge of domestic violence.
Theft: Cedar Road
At 2:45 p.m. Sept. 22, police arrested an East Cleveland man, 39, for stealing clothing valued at $397 from Dillard’s at Beachwood Place mall, 26300 Cedar Road.

At 5:45 p.m. Sept. 23, police arrested two men for stealing merchandise totaling $506.50 from Dillard’s. The men were seen making multiple trips with the stolen items to and from a car.
Arrested were two Cleveland residents, ages 44 and 55. The older man was also found to be wanted on a Parma Heights police warrant.
Improper handling of a firearm: Chagrin Boulevard
At 10:10 p.m. Sept. 23, an officer stopped a car that was displaying expired license plates. It was subsequently learned that the car’s driver, a Warrensville Heights woman, 30, was in possession of a gun.
Police arrested the woman on charges of improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle and driving with expired plates.
Civil matter: Chagrin Boulevard
At 11:30 a.m. Sept. 24, police were called to the True North Shell gas station, 26100 Chagrin Blvd., where a Euclid woman, 51, claimed that she had been treated unfairly by a store clerk.
The clerk believed the woman may have used phony money to pay for goods. The bill was found to be authentic.
Theft: Chagrin Boulevard
At 12:05 p.m. Sept. 24, police arrested a Cleveland woman, 32, for stealing groceries totaling $168.77 from the Giant Eagle store at 24601 Chagrin Blvd.
