Tire shops in Norman have seen numerous customers with flat tires due to nails and screws.

"It’s been pretty bad. It’s a lot worse than usual. We’re probably seeing 20-25 cars a day with flat tires. I mean, it’s pretty bad," said Nicholas Williamson, owner of WB Tire and Automotive.
On average, they said they see three to four vehicles a day. Now, they’re having trouble keeping enough inventory.
"Unfortunately, some people were not able to help. Some people you have to. Hopefully, they can find it Walmart or something else but other than that, we don’t know what to do," Williamson said.
Most of the customers said they ran over the nails or screws along Robinson Street, 24th Avenue and 36th Avenue.
"Everybody is talking a little bit about the tire situation, and you can only repair a tire so many times before they have to get rid of it and you got some of the same people coming back three times a week," Williamson said.
KOCO 5 reached out to Norman police to see if they’re involved since many believe someone is intentionally covering those intersections, but KOCO 5 hasn’t heard back.
