UofL looks to keep winning momentum on the road at Boston College
HELLO AGAIN, EVERYBODY. THIS SATURDAY AT NOON, U OF L FOOTBALLS A 15 POINT FAVORITE AT BOSTON COLLEGE. VIRTUAL MUST WIN SITUATION FOR ANY HOPE OF COMPETING THE ATLANTIC DIVISION. RIGHT NOW, BOTH LOUISVILLE AND BCS SIT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE DIVISION WITH FOUR RANKED TEAMS AHEAD OF THEM. HAVING TO GO UP TO BOSTON. YOU KNOW, ON THE ROAD, OBVIOUSLY A CHALLENGE WHEN YOU’RE PLAYING ON THE ROAD IN SCC BUT IT COMES BACK TO US THINK I THINK YOU KNOW FOCUS WHAT WE CAN CONTROL WHICH IS HOW WE PREPARE. GOOD NEWS SCOTT SATTERFIELD AND U OF L FOOTBALL ARE FEELING BETTER ABOUT THEMSELVES AFTER HOSTING A ONE SIDED WIN OVER SOUTH FLORIDA, WHICH EVEN THEIR RECORD THIS SEASON AT TWO AND TWO. BAD NEWS THEY ARE STILL LOOKING FOR THEIR FIRST SCC. ONE OF THE SEASON AFTER LOSING THE FIRST TWO. ONE REASON THINGS ARE GETTING BETTER AND IMPROVED, A MORE PRODUCTIVE OFFENSE AND MORE BALANCED AVERAGING ABOUT 225 YARDS A GAME RUNNING AND AND INCREASING SCORING WEEK PLUS THE OFFENSE IS SETTLING MAKING FEWER MISTAKES. THE LAST TWO WEEKS WE’VE DONE A MUCH BETTER WITH IT. WE’RE MORE DISCIPLINED OFFENSE WE’RE WE’RE ALLOWING OUR OFFENSE TO GO FASTER. WE YOU KNOW IF YOU NOTICE THE TEMPO OF THE LAST FEW GAMES HAVE BEEN A LOT QUICKER ON OFFENSE AND WE’VE BEEN ABLE TO GET MORE PLAYS. ONE MASSIVE KEY TO THE CARD’S FUTURE THE FINAL EIGHT GAMES OF THE REGULAR SEASON AS QUARTERBACK MATT CUNNINGHAM, HIS SKILL SET AS A RUNNER AND PASSER MAKE HIM A GAME CHANGER. HE IS JUST THE EIGHTH PLAYER IN NCAA HISTORY TO HAVE 8000 PASSING YARDS AND 3000 RUSHING YARDS IN A CAREER. THE LANDSCAPE THE REST OF THE WAY IS CHALLENGED WITH FIVE RANKED TEAMS LEFT ON THE SCHEDULE. IF CUNNINGHAM CAN STAY HEALTHY AND PRODUCTIVE, THE CARDS AT LEAST HAVE A FIGHTING CHANCE. MAYBE MORE. WE’VE BEEN MUCH BETTER OFF SINCE WE MOVED THE BALL. WE’VE SCORED MORE POINTS. WE PUT MORE PRESSURE ON THE DEFENSE, AND THAT’S JUST WHAT GOT TO CONTINUE TO DO. AND HOPEFULLY WE’LL GET, YOU KNOW, GET THESE RECEIVERS MORE IN
