A mother told Pittsburgh's Action News 4 it happened Friday afternoon after her two daughters were dropped off at their bus stop in Donora.

Ricki Roberts said it started as a verbal argument on the bus.

“I get a call from Dyamond, and all I hear is chaos in the background. I hear Dyamond say they are going to jump me when I get off the bus. I sent my 21-year-old daughter down with my car, and I said Juliana is coming to pick you guys up. Just get in the car. She will drive off. That's it,” Ricki Roberts said.

Dyamond and her sister, Mariah, said the argument was over a recent school cellphone policy and it kept escalating. When the girls got off the bus, a physical fight broke out immediately.

In the video, Roberts’ 18-year-old daughter, Dyamond, is in the burgundy shirt and gets punched repeatedly.

“I try to pull my sister away from the girl, and she comes to the car and starts punching me in my left side of my head and then pulls me out of the car,” Dyamond Roberts said.

Dyamond's younger sister, 15-year-old Mariah, tried to intervene.

“I am defending my sister because my sister was cornered in our car and not able to move, not able to do anything, and she was repeatedly punching my sister,” Mariah Roberts said.

A nearby business owner heard the fight happening. He told Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 that his goal was to deescalate the situation.

But Ricki Roberts says it's a fight that never would've happened if the bus driver stepped in.

“Before they got off the bus, he should have A, called 911 or B, call Ringgold police, something, so somebody could have been there to stop the entire thing,” Ricki Roberts said.

Ricki says both daughters have concussions, and she was told by the district that Dyamond is suspended for swearing and her involvement in the fight. Beyond that, she's heard nothing.

“It's kind of a joke. I am not allowed to know what is happening with the other students,” Ricki Roberts said.

"She didn't do anything. She didn't even defend herself. She might have pushed somebody away, but did she attack anybody? No."
