Quite the e-Vent

The second performance in this year’s Celtic Series, Le Vent du Nord of Québec, lands at the Lincoln City Cultural Center this Sunday, Oct. 2.

This award-winning and highly acclaimed band is a leading force in Québec’s exciting and progressive Francophone folk movement. The group’s vast repertoire draws from both traditional sources and original compositions, while their highly rhythmic and soulful music, rooted in the Celtic diaspora, is enhanced with a broad range of global influences.

They will be performing songs from their newest album “20 Printemps” which independent music journal Folker describes as: “The best album of the band so far, a favorite.”

The series has nine performances remaining — purchase tickets to five or more performances and get 20 percent off your entire order with no additional fees. Reserved individual ticket prices range from $30 to $35, with discounts for seniors, students and kids younger than 18.

Sunday’s concert begins at 7 pm at the Lincoln City Cultural Center, located at 540 NE Hwy. 101.
