As the Congressional January 6 Committee continues to try and connect whatever dots might exist between the Trump administration and the deadly riots at the Capitol in early 2021, a potential bombshell was dropped when it was reported on CBS’s 60 Minutes that someone from inside the White House called an active rioter that infamous afternoon.

Now the rioter who received that curious call has been identified.

CNN reported that Anton Lunyk was the offending protester whose cell got rung up by 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

The news organization also reported, via an anonymous source, that the committee is continuing to investigate the exact nature of the phone call – both who made it and why.

The call emanated from the public White House switchboard, so its caller ID shows only the building front-facing public number, 202-456-1414, rather than what extension made the call. The only other information currently publicly known about the call is that it was brief, lasting just nine seconds.

As for the man on the receiving end, Lunyk said he has no recollection of the call and does not know anyone who worked in the Trump administration.
