HERKIMER COUNTY, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – The Herkimer County Sheriff’s Office reports that a man from Little Falls has been arrested for Grand Larceny and Welfare Fraud after allegedly defrauding the county government for more than a year.
According to the County Welfare Fraud Unit, 31-year-old Andrew J. Hight of Little Falls allegedly received more than $2,000 in fraudulent benefits over a period of 12 months.
Andrew Hight has been arrested and charged with the following:
- Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree (Class E Felony)
- Welfare Fraud in the Fourth Degree (Class E Felony)
After being processed, Hight was arraigned and released on his own recognizance. He was then issued tickets to appear in front Village of Herkimer Court in the future.
